Dedicated to expanding horizons, the Heat Pump Forum fosters dynamic exchanges of visions, knowledge, and expertise, aiming to amplify the role of heat pump technologies within RepowerEU’s framework. Spearheaded by the European Heat Pump Association (EHPA), alongside its members and partners, the event champions the EU Heat Pump Accelerator, poised to revolutionize heat pump adoption continent-wide.
The European Commission’s REPowerEU plan targets a doubling of annual heat pump installations, projecting 20 million additional units by 2026 and 60 million by 2030, significantly surpassing the current count. With nearly 50% of EU energy consumed for heating and cooling, primarily from imported fossil fuels, heat pumps offer a clean, cost-efficient alternative, potentially slashing energy use, emissions, and imports.
